PRODUCER
Founded by Felipe Rutini in 1885, Rutini Wines has played a pioneering role in the development of Argentine wine. In 1924, the winery became the first to plant vineyards in the Uco Valley, helping establish the region as one of Mendoza’s leading winegrowing centres.
Today, Rutini combines this long heritage with modern technology, precise vineyard management and a commitment to reducing its carbon and water footprints through responsible sourcing, waste management and community-focused projects.
VINEYARD
The grapes come from the Alto Valle de Uco, south of Mendoza, at approximately 1,000 to 1,500 metres above sea level, where a wide diurnal range, low rainfall and controlled irrigation give a prolonged ripening cycle on well-drained rocky soils. The fruit is harvested by hand.
WINERY
The grapes were hand-harvested and given a pre-fermentation preparation at 2°C. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks, with natural malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged for nine months, with 20% in new French oak and 80% in second-use barrels.
TASTING NOTE
Tropical fruit flavours of peach, mango and pineapple are interspersed with a note of vanilla. The palate is delicate and textured, finishing fresh and concentrated.
